I was so excited that BBC showed interest to help from being scammed by eBay.
Company had not fixed the issue.
No problem had been fixed and no refund had been provided. Needed to edit one of the facts.
No full refund was received yet.
Confident That BBC will take a step to help me get the FULL REFUND.
Need to add proof of empty boxes received .

On November 5th, 2024, I went there to retrieve them it was two empty iPhones boxes that were mailed to me. Right inside the Post Office on 1799 NW 28th Street Allapattah, Miami FL 33142 I called eBay and made a report to claim a refund the next day Wednesday November 6th, 2024 an e-mail was sent to me to return the items received then on Friday I received another e-mail stated that the refund will be made to me on November 13th, 2024. So on November 17th, 2024, two other e-mails were sent to me one stated about suspended my account with eBay and the other stipulated that I did excessive abuse of customer protection that no refund will be made I did call and spoke to Kervin an eBay teammate claim who guaranteed me that as per the e-mail regarding the refund I have to wait until the given date November 13th, 2024. On November 20th, 2024, I called again then talked to Robert an eBay teammate who rudely emphasized that there will be no refund made to me if I did not the e-mail from from November 17th before hanged up the phone that I had to contact the seller myself which I did not have no contact located in Hong Kong named Onlinerave.
So last Wednesday the 20th I called again and spoke to Cassandra another eBay teammate who urged me to wait for a follow up e-mail from the seller until yesterday I called their system only gave me online option which impossible because they had suspended my account. I'm reaching out to BBC to file this complaint for my stolen money.
N-B I purchased other stuffs from eBay like two (2) Guaravera shirts one (1) pants, and on (1) loafers shoes under $50.00 all of them were received except for those two (2) new iPhones 13Pro Max for an huge amount of $1,871.41 till today my money is vanished leaving me a crucial financial situation.

Verified Reviewer |Refusal by eBay to refund postage fee to me.
- - Poor customer service; seller refused £3.50 postage refund.
- - Item was held by courier for 17 days.
- - Delivery after release payment; eBay dispute ended.
Terrible customer service! I buy sell lots on this platform and have done for years. This isnt the first time I have been undoubtedly treated unfairly.I bought an item that I was informed by courier was going to be delivered late. The courier then posted a card that they had been holding my item at my local sorting office for about 14 days because the seller hadnt paid enough postage. The sorting office only holds items for 18 days so I immediately contacted seller and sent evidence with eBays recomended next steps which only the seller can apply as he made the transaction and held the receipt and I had paid him the £2.75 postage fee he asked for which I know is enough to get the small item delivered to me.Seller was uncooperative and refused to do anything.I immediately then contacted an eBay agent thinking that they would be holding my transaction money until delivery was proved tracking was successful so could refund me the £3.50 so I could pay courier to release and deliver my item as seller would not enquire about the problem and this as a buyer was all I was permitted to do and was essential as time was running out before my item got sent back to the unhelpful seller.(Could this be more sinister than just an arrogant, selfish and unhelpful human being?)The eBay agent seemed very helpful and said he understood every point of my problem to get my item that is legally mine and he would start by advising the seller to do the obvious and refund the £3.50 to me to pay the courier. The next day an eBay auto message informed me that the seller had updated tracking information which wasnt going to do anything and was the same tracking number we all had from the start and told us what we already knew and in 4 or 5 days if I hadnt received the item I could ask eBay to step in.I made the agent fully aware of the importance of time due to courier would be sending item back to seller before the procedure he set up could be of any use and that I had already complained about the same thing happening to me just last year.I was left with only one legal and sensible but still not ideal for me option, which was pay the courier charge because they had held the item for 17 days and on the 18th day they would send back to seller or to Ireland to be destroyed. The item was delivered to me 2 days later and with linked tracking in place eBay automatically ended the dispute of seller not paying the courier enough postage which as I now have the package was due to the seller packing a small lighter in a box that was much bigger and exceeded the couriers £2.75 dimensions limit which is commonly used and and has dimensional limits that accommodate any lighter including my one sent by the seller in a massive box.The item was a well used one described as good condition which must of pushed the sellers imagination when describing his listing so at about £17 + £2.75 postage I had already paid this wasnt the best value second hand lighter ever sold on eBay and now over half a day of my time and an unnecessary fee of £3.50 is a large percentage adding what must be about a fifth to the price I was promised and that was on the invoice sent to me by ebay all paid for at my expense and neither of which my responsibility. My next immediate move was to contact an eBay agent in my opinion a customer who is now owed compensation plus the £3.50 postage fee I paid which was the sellers responsibility under eBays advertised legally binding contract.I was under no illusions an knew that any requests for compensation would of been futile but informed agent of the payment I made of £3.50 due to seller flatly refusing to pay it or even enquire about it or even reply to my messages regarding the release of my item after his refusal and that I would like the money refunded to me from the payment I made for the item and the postage of my item. This simple request was a phone call that left me on hold 4 times, involved 2 agents and more time on hold waiting for a manager which I didnt request and that I was given no explanation for and ended with one of the agents taking me off hold and telling me that a manager wont be speaking to me but repeatedly asking me who had told me to pay the postage fee to the courier.I embarked on explaining this whole story to him again where I was repeatedly interrupted with the words I am not entitled to any refund until after the fourth time I was advised by the agent that I wasnt entitled to any refund he simply terminated the call without any warning or courtesies.I am now wondering with even more of my time unnecessarily taken, the rude manner i which I have been addressed by an organisation which has profited from me for many years and my money which may be being held illegally by the giant electronic sales company ebay whether compensation is such a disillusion after all?

- - Took 3 hours to assemble; instructions were not detailed.
- - The bike won't power on after assembly.
- - Advertised as 21 speeds but is 7; mismatch.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I need to refract my statement I was just a little frustrated after putting together the bike for 3 hours and made it tell you how to start started I got a hold of the company and they sent me a video on how to start start the bike but it would have been nice to have the video after I put the bike it took me 3 hours to put the bike together this is why I was so frustrated whatever riding my bike I am completely satisfied.

I ordered an O2 sensor for my car on Jan 9th and I still have yet to get my order, and it's Feb 7th. eBay won't step in as they should.

- - Deleted the active account; old username ends with o.
- - Ghost account must be terminated; newer one restored, email fergusontroy604@***.com.
They realized the old account was never fully deleted, that was their fault. Contact a live person and discuss it.
It's 'Trofrgo' or close to that; it ends in an 'o,' unlike the ghost account that's up now. This happened last time my laptop crashed. Then, when I restarted it, this old eBay account came up first. Why???
As you can see, I buy a lot of motorcycle stuff $$$. So, how do I get back on the account that I've used for the last 5 years??? The email for it is the same as the old account, so? fergusontroy604@***.com.
Anyway, I am done with eBay if you don't terminate the ghost account that has never been used in the last 5 years.
As you can see, my Visa debit card isn't even in the payment area, and there's no purchase history, and that's BS. Look at how much I buy; get rid of that old account and return my newer one.

Verified Reviewer |My Claim was Appealed and I am just not happy with all the Documentation I supplied !
- - Worst service from eBay over the last two days and concerns about buyer rights.
- - My claim was denied after hours providing photos and facts.
This was the worse ever and Ebay is starting to lose touch with whats really going on. I been with Ebay since 2003 and have a 100% Rating bit they screwed me twice in this last 9 months. It's starting to get bad now and l think theres something going on because they were great for years and years.
I had the worst service the last 2 days from eBay! They have no clue what customer service is and no respect for buyer's rights or stories with documentation.
eBay denied my claim after I spent hours getting photos and facts. I have to say eBay is not the company they were years ago. 1 star is even too high for a rating.
AI is not customer service and cheating a customer with a 100% rate for about 23 years is a joke! Real

Verified ReviewerI have an item of interest i have had...
- - Authentic Chuck Norris Missing in Action fatigue with manacle prop.
- - Owned 20 years; brother won it at SAG; front pocket contains winning document.
i have an item of interest i have had for 20 yrs. it concerns chuck norris who has passed away recently.
i have his army fatigue he wore in the movie missing in action. it is authentic and i have had it for 20 yrs. it was given to me by my older brother before he passed away. he won it in a bidding auction for members of sag.
he became a member through the clint eastwood tennis classic down in monterey, calif., along with john wayne as a special guest since they both support handicapped war veterans. i was wondering if anyone else has anything that chuck wore on the movie set. the fatigue has a manacle hollywood prop included. it's been covered for protection, so it is in great condition, size medium that fit chuck.
you can see him wearing it while inside the chopper he was flying in. i noticed there isn't anything on the internet about what chuck was wearing. i'm 75 yrs old and my time is getting short too. i'm also a vietnam veteran with 2 tours.
i'd like to sell this item if it's possible. i tried to contact the family, but no answer. my brother had this item for a while and he gave it to me before he passed away.
the winning document is in one of the front pockets, so it is genuine. thank you for your time.

- - They canceled my last order and kept the money.
- - Five calls; two hung up and two lied.
They are impossible to deal with. I wouldn't even use them. They are tye rudest and most unhelpful people I've ever dealt with.
After calling five times, I was lied to and even hung up on twice. I was being completely nice during these conversations and never got rude or disrespectful. And yet, two agents just hung up on me. Two agents straight up lied, and the last one basically told me, 'Just wait; your phone will be there.' Even though I'd been in contact with the seller, who had forwarded me the email eBay sent stating they should cancel my order, and if it was already shipped, they should contact the shipper and try to stop the delivery.
Also, not to have any contact if I tried to reach out to them. Even though it clearly says on the eBay site to contact the seller.

- - Rail listed as 47-160 cm in title.
- - Description shows 31-51 cm.
- - Dealhaven-8 takes no responsibility.
- - eBay says no violation; seller can't be contacted.
I ordered a clothing rail advertised as 47-160 cm in the main title with no other size options. As it's just a rail, I didn't need to see anything else as the size was perfect.
Now in the item description, it advertises at 31-51 cm. eBay said there is no violation and the company (dealhaven-8) whom I purchased the rails from takes no responsibility for their incompetent advertising. This is absurd and eBay has fallen so far and shouldn't be allowed to operate.
You can't even contact them; they say they try to call you back, but I got nothing. Very, very poor service.

First of all, eBay suspended my account with no reason or explanation. And then allowed me to purchase items only to cancel my last order, which was for an iPhone, and they chose to keep the money I paid.

The seller that I asked help with ripped me off, the listing was for 8 injectors, and the seller only sends 2 when they ship the item. I ask for help and the ebay system sided with the seller and I got scammed not only by the seller but by eBay for not allowing me to talk to someone to explain how this company uses false advertising to steal from buyers.
I will never buy on eBay again if you allow this type of activity to persist! The seller knew how to manipulate the system and uses that knowledge to take advantage of customers.

- - Duck eggs listed with $16.50 shipping; three eggs cost $31.
- - Overnight shipping routed to Paradise Shipping with a $110 refundable insurance and strict terms.
There was a listing for duck eggs, five for some amount, and then there was a fee of $16.50 for shipping. I only wanted three duck eggs, so we agreed upon the price of $31, which would cover the eggs plus the $16.50 for shipping.
She told me it was being shipped through USPS. I have messages and screenshots of this entire interaction. She then tells me she's overnighting it. I wake up in the morning to a link to some paradise shipping company I've never heard of, and when I enter my tracking number that she provided for me, it sends me to a link that says that I have to pay a $110 insurance fee that is refundable, but if you look at the fine details, there are several stipulations that give the company the right to not refund me or only partially refund me.
I don't think that that risk should lie on me.
She chose to use that shipping company, and it is nowhere listed on her listing on eBay. I read from top to bottom her entire policies, and none of them match up to even the names or locations she gave me!

I filed a case for an item that was not sent or delivered. It's confusing but, I had two orders from the same seller only two of four items arrived, the first order arrived in two separate boxes (Hence two different numbers) the other two cases never arrived here or was sent.
I contacted seller a few times and only responded once with item delivered, so I opened a case with eBay to explain it but, eBay closed case since the seller said it was delivered, but it was not, they never followed up with me!! I have the photos (See Photos) of the open case and invoice from AMAZON that shows only one case and one to follow, which it did, so two of four items arrived NOT the OTHER TWO!
This is VERY SLOPPY communication and service and of course I can't contact anyone in eBay by phone or EMAIL!!! So now I'm out $50 plus dollars and NO PRODUCT!

Verified ReviewerAI IS THE DEATH OF EBAY!
- - AI on eBay caused login and device-recognition problems for users.
- - Password resets and identity checks triggered fraud alerts and sign-in issues.
As of 11/14/25 I have not heard from Ebay about their AI problem and me not being able to log into my original account or the new one I created to order a gasket kit on 11/5/25 from Thinkniceshop. I have also filed complaints on other consumer review sites, and with the BBB.
I have not gotten a response from Ebay to any of these complaints to fix this AI issue. I keep getting emails from Ebay to review my last 2 purchases. I'd like to know how am I supposed to do that if I can't log into either account? The carburetor I ordered on 10/20/25 from Super-Mall-Auto got delivered in a few days.
My husband is pleased with it, and it works great. How am I to review this if I can't log into my original account? The gasket kit I ordered on 11/5/25 from Thinkniceshop also got delivered in a few days. My husband is pleased with it also, worked great.
He wants me to order another one for a different mower. How am I supposed to do this or review it, if I can't log into the new account I created to order it? The BS that AI is creating with my accounts is not worth the effort to continue to order from Ebay. I will not subject myself to some random person at Ebay customer service asking background questions to verify my identity.
Which then creates alerts from credit monitoring agencies, for potential fraud. I do not want random Ebay customer service reps obtaining this information. I also don't want any of my devices permanently logged into Ebay to access my accounts. This is BS, and no other retailer requires customers to be permanently logged into their accounts to purchase from them.
If Ebay's AI is so stupid it can't figure out a customer with codes to registered account emails or to registered account phone numbers to verify identity, it is worthless. This is how every other company verifies who is logging into an account. I will not go through BS just to purchase from Ebay. I have no complaints about any Ebay sellers.
One even went out in a major snow storm in Minnesota to get a book to the Post Office, so I could get it before Christmas. Ebay is hurting, cheating, their sellers with this AI BS crap. If Ebay does not fix their AI issue with my accounts, I will not be buying any more items from Ebay. I will not go through endless crap with Ebay customer service, because they did not fix the issue.
To require that a customer be logged in permanently to their Ebay account/website on their device to purchase from Ebay is illegal.
My next complaints if Ebay does not address this issue, will be to the Missouri Attorney General, and the FTC. Also I will not purchase from Ebay any more if they don't fix their AI problem.
The AI that is running eBay's platform is a total screwed-up mess! I have purchased from eBay for years. I bought several items from eBay this year. I have never had a problem or complaint about eBay till now.
It seems AI is running eBay's platform, and this is now a problem. I have seen thousands of complaints online regarding the problem with AI running eBay's platform. On 10/9/25, I ordered an AT&T telephone CL4940 from a seller on eBay. Then I discovered I could get the phone locally the same day, so I canceled the order.
eBay sent me the cancellation confirmation. Everything was okay. Then, on 10/20/25, I ordered a carburetor from an eBay seller. The carburetor got delivered; everything was fine.
Then I started getting emails from eBay stating they changed my password for fraud and security reasons, and I should reset it. Well, I did. Then I tried to log into my account, and it said it does not recognize my device. I should call this 1-800 number and give this code number.
I wasn't going to call some number I didn't know. So I contacted eBay through their online chat assistant. I got it to have an agent call me. The agent asked me questions to verify my identity, told me he'd fix the issue of me not being able to log into my account, and told me to wait a few minutes before logging in.
This then triggered an alert from a credit reporting agency because of eBay's questions to confirm my identity. So I waited until the next day because I wanted to order another item. I tried to log in; the same issue, it wanted me to reset the password. I did it, then it said it does not recognize my device.
I should call the 1-800 number and give it the code number. So I decided this was enough. I registered a new account with different information. On 11/5/25, I ordered a gasket kit from the new account from eBay seller ThinkNiceShop.
The gasket is to be delivered today. When I logged into this account on eBay to get my tracking information, I unchecked 'keep this device signed into my account.' I do not want my laptop permanently signed into my eBay account. I don't want it signed into any account. So because I did this, now I can't sign into the new account.
It says it does not recognize my device. So now, because of this AI issue, I can no longer log into my new or original account. I have never had this problem with eBay till they started using AI to monitor their platform. So now, because of this issue, I can't log into either account.
This is happening with buyer and seller accounts because of AI. If eBay does not fix their totally screwed-up AI issue, it will be their demise. Because it is not possible to contact eBay's CEO, I want him to know how bad this situation is with their messed-up AI. You have just lost a customer because of it!
Fix it! I don't want my devices permanently signed into an eBay account. I don't want alerts from credit agencies because of eBay checking my identity.
I don't want to call 1-800 numbers and talk to people I don't know to verify my identity! This is pure BS!
- Good prices
- Decent sellers
- Great items
- Ai made it impossible to buy from it
- Ai has entirely screwed up ebay platform
- Ai has now ruined ebay
Preferred solution: Fix this issue with my account, so I do not have to go through this endless BS.
User's recommendation: Forget doing business with EBAY. AI has made it impossible to have an EBAY account. If this is the future of AI, forget customer service. AI is going to be the demise of many businesses. Expect more headaches as AI takes over. It is a failure!
