Yesterday I received a letter from an eBay seller stating that their product had defects and requested me to get a refund, of which I did. I had inquired this to an eBay representative and he said they didn't monitor their sellers and basically it is still up to the buyer to make the choice.

The item in question is a stainless steel valve used in allowing and restricting flow to various caustic solutions and acids plus also handling fuel. A defect in t'is type of product is extremely dangerous to life and limb.

NO. Buyer not seller.

Seller responded to an order placed that the valves had defects and suggested a refund that I did and it was done. The issue was that eBay sidestepped the issue of sellers offering defective product and they basically didn't care
