I am, or shall I say WAS a novice seller on Ebay, I have almost 70 points on my seller account. I've had my account for almost 7-8 years and occasionally sell something I no longer want that may be of some value. I recently sold roughly 50 single DVDs, as well as a lot...

Sadly ebay has turned the tables on sellers. Sellers are now victimized by ebay rape.

For example, a buyer lies. Even though the seller has proof it is a lie, ebay sides with the buyer. The buyer clicks they want to return an item (instead of coming to you) through the resolution center checking item not as described, yet in the reason they put "I didn't like it." So, how is that as item not as described? Seller is victimized on their dash board because of a buyer not liking an item and done via the resolution center.

Ebay penalizes sellers for canceling transactions on a seller dashboard.

So, it's the seller fault that ebay lists items that you already sold? Of course, it is the seller's fault - ebay is perfect.

Sellers are even penalized on broken items in shipping even though you provide a full refund on the cost, but you were not the one that delivered it. Unbelievable, ebay actually did that to me. An item was broken in shipment.

I refunded the money. Yet, the buyer did all through the resolution center - I was penalized because it was done through the resolution center. Ebay victimized me for a broken shipment and a buyer wanting their money back. What am I missing here?

I can't control buyers.

Calling ebay is a joke. You are transferred, if you are lucky not to be hung up on, numerous times. You receive mix information and yet no one can help you!

Ebay has turned into raping and victimizing their sellers not only financially, but now on the dash boards. Pathetic.

Ebay Customer Support Reps = Waste of Breathable Air

Just called up Ebay Customer Support to try and resolve an issue I was having with redeeming my Ebay Bucks. The rep sounded tired and disinterested at first. I also heard loud laughter and carrying-on in the background like the was a huge party going on. Anyway, it took much effort to keep him on track with my problem, then he finally told me that due to the term and conditions of Ebay Bucks, my item would not qualify. I quickly proved him wrong as I read the terms in detail earlier. Then, stumped, he wanted to have the 'Ebay Bucks Department' (if there is such a thing) contact me which would take 2 business days. No doubt this was just to get me off the phone. I told him no I want to pay for this thing now and can you transfer me to Paypal Support so maybe they could help? He did that and a very intelligent-sounding young lady answered and totally fixed the problem. Bottom-line: I believe Ebay's CS reps to be incompetent and they just want to put you on hold or get you off the phone if they have to work at their job.

This had me rolling :cry I feel your pain. Yes, outsourcing has its problems: language barrier.

I don't want anything to do with any overseas call center. I'm starting to cut my cards..bloomies, i could care less most of Furstenberg's clothes are made in china, now, anyway....I'm done over it-global schmobel...wasting 10 hours of my life to fix a simple problem of mathematics is just not worth it.

Ebay double standards

Why did ebay refuse my selling a Gerber multitool, its a pair of pliers with a pair of scissors, a little knife and screwdrivers. They state its a weapon, have you ever hard of a murder using this item its ludicrous. For some reason there are dozens of these things for sale from china on there so why pick on me. They sell chainsaws and airgun bullets and a thousand other items that could be used to kill and maim but try and sell a penknife and they have a hissy fit, didnt they once have a aircraft carrier for sale now that is a serious killing machine.

Ebays buyer protection protects the $ they get from sellers - not you!

Incident I purchased a Red and black contemporary sofa from LA furniture via ebay! I called prior to purchase to confirm the red was primary red rather than some off color. I paid 1895 dollars for the sofa. While waiting for the sofa I painted my livingroom, two of the walls primary red. When the sofa arrived I was horrified to discover that the color was reddish orange and immediatley contacted the seller who admited fault. He said he 'called the warehouse and asked about the color rather than actually checking it himself". He promised to 'make it right' and I waited. The next day my husband and I went to move one of the pieces of this section to another arrangement. When he went to push the sofa he was stabbed in the finger by a nail that had come through the leather from the inside of the sofa. We discovered that it had torn the sofa and shredded the back of the cushion that rested against that part of the back. I called Oleg at LA furniture again and told him about the defect and the damage done by the defect. One of his managers actually accused me of having stuck the nail inside the sofa because I didn't like the color. Again Oleg assured me that he would contact the manufacturer and 'make it right'. When he called back he suggested that he would refund $200! I asked him what the price difference between a perfect and 'damaged' sofa would be. He replied that he wouldn't sell a defective sofa. I said "so, as far as your concerned, a defective sofa has no value?" he started hemming and hawwing... Having exhausted my patience I contacted ebay buyer protection. The first thing I received there was a note telling me that If i chose to return the sofa for a refund that I was responsible for the frieght shipiing (495 dollars worth). So returning the sofa meant i was automatically out $500! I think that outragous. Did I feel protected? No! Can anyone afford to just toss out $500? I doubt it! Even if they sent a replacement that means I spent $2400 for the sofa... not the amount I agreed to pay in the first place. So sending it back wasn't an option. So I waited, and waited, and waited... After a few days I received a $200 refund from LA Furniture. So, apparently the difference in price between a new high quality leather sofa (correct color) and a torn leather sofa with a shredded cushion and that is the wrong color is $200! Naturally I went on and left negative feedback! I stated in my feedback the ebay buyer protection would not help! Guess what. Ebay, who had waited days to even give me that sham of a refund, immediately removed my feedback because apparently you are not supposed to tell people that ebays buyer protection wont protect them... Thats a secret and ebay makes sure it stays that way! Now the hole is about as big as a quarter ... it tears if anyone sits on it so I will have to pay to have it repaired or it will get bigger still. The cushion will have to be remade. From calls I've made it is going to cost between $200-350 to repair. So, for 1900 + dollars I will, after considerable legwork, have a repaired leather sofa that is the wrong color and will have to repaint my livingroom to keep it from clashing at the cost of over 200.00 more dollars. Total cost? well over $2000. End result, a firm belief that Ebay will protect their scammin sellers because thats who pays them. They will even become an accomplice to the fraud if you try to warn others from being conned! And LA furniture thinks that if you send them money they can send you any defective piece of ____ they happen to have lying around even if its the wrong color, and your stuck with it. and since they get away with it and ebay removes any warning placed by buyers, they will continue to do so... But dont you worry, they'll pay ebay the required listing fees! And we all know that those fees are what ebay really cares about!!!

Shady bidding | Ebay review from Nashville, Tennessee

There have been several vehicles on ebay that I have been interested in bidding on, however, it always seems as if there are bidders with no bid history or low bid history (less than 5) that always seem to drive the price up. I've often wondered if these are not "shadow" bidders created by the seller to inflate the sale price. Am I paranoid or has anyone else noticed this trend? It's happened several times. I have noticed that alot of times, there will be ads that specify that the bidder contact the seller before bidding if the buyer has no bid history or a low bid history. I feel like ebay should require new or low bid history bidders to contact the seller in these situations to insure the integrity of the auctions.

EBAY RIPS OF SELLERS!

I sold some items on EBay/Half.com and after doing all the right hings-sending the products as described, EBAY has held my money for over 6 months. We are talking almost $10,000!!!!!! They say they can't confirm my identity and will hold the money until Feb 2011. Of course they can confirm my identity I have been a CA S corp for 8 years-it is easy to find my company! Even the district attorney in which they reside won't go after them because "They bring so much tax revenue" to their county! On Rip-Off report many more citizens are having this problem-asset seizure!!!! BOYCOTT EBAY!!!!They have unfair and illegal business practices.

I sent a ball gown to a buyer, sent it in good faith to the address given me by ebay, turns out it was the wrong address. The buyer addmittse to being evicted from the given address and never filing a change of address with the post office or changing her shipping info on ebay.

Even though ebay policy clearly states that in the case of conflicting addresses the seller is not at fault ebay still gave the buyer her money back, I was denied an apeal, and told by ebay that I had no recourse as the case was closed.

Eba does not horor thier policy protecting sellers from bad info. I will never sell on ebay again.

EBAY has NO integrity

I filed a BBB complaint against ebay after a seller charged shipping yet his ad said shipping was free. Ebay eventually said they provided a $20 credit on an account as remedy. Ironically the account is not either of the two accounts I had at ebay and closed. It was created by ebay as a remedy - allegedly. I tried numerous times to access the account; hit forgot password, etc -- no luck. I do not have access to that account; cannot get access and ebay will do nothing further and said they have satisfied the complaint. The BBB will take no further action. What a joke. Ebay protects sellers - not buyers. I could never get anyone on the phone at ebay - at any time.

Ebay gives out personal info

I sell stuff on ebay from time to time and for the most part have had few problems - until my phone rang in the middle of the night last night. Turns out it was a buyer asking questions about an item I had for sale. ebay gave her my contact info even though we had never done a transaction. I have a perfect record of feedback and have been on ebay for 10 years now. How is it that they freely give out my contact info so nutjobs from the west coast can call my home in the middle of the night? I'm shocked - and urge others to be careful.
